West Australian Asset Management Initiative [WAAMI] WAAMI is a joint venture launched in 2004 involving UWA’s Schools of Mechanical, Civil and Resource, Oil and Gas Engineering and the Faculty of Engineering at Curtin University. The initial aims of WAAMI are to:
- Develop and enhance the WA skill base in Engineering Asset Management (Postgraduate and other education issues).
- Develop research outcomes that improve the asset management performance in the state (For further information on current and potential Research issues click here).
The initiative brings together academic and industry partners to work on multi-disciplinary research and educational projects in the Asset Management field. WAAMI is guided by an Industry Advisory Panel, this has representatives from a range of public, state and private companies in Western Australia.
WAAMI, through it’s UWA and Curtin members, is affiliated with the CRC for Integrated Engineering Asset Management (CIEAM) launched in 2003.
If you or your company is interested in further information on this initiative in the Asset Management/Reliability field, please contact Melinda Hodkiewicz mhodki@mech.uwa.edu.au Tel: 08-6488-7911.
