Challenging PhD project opportunity: Smart Shunt. The Hydrocephalus Project:

This project will be a major part of an international effort, directed towards the construction of a mathematical framework for computer simulation of brain tissue deformation and cerebrospinal flow dynamics in healthy and pathological brains.

ETH Zurich (the best engineering school in Europe), University Hospital Basel and The University of Western Australia are currently involved in this research. The project has received funding from, Swiss national Science Foundation. For a successful candidate opportunities to travel to Switzerland, Japan and USA exist.
