Challenging PhD project opportunity: Biomechanics of brain for computer and robot aided neurosurgery:

This project will be a major part of an international effort directed towards the construction of a mathematical framework for computer simulation for medicine.

The University of Western Australia, Harvard Medical School, AIST Japan and CSIRO Canberra are currently involved in this research. The project has received funding from, among others, Australian Research Council and Science and Technology Agency, Japan. For a successful candidate opportunities to travel to Japan and the USA exist.
