Minefield Tour - part 8

 Community Minefield Marking.

These posts are used to mark minefields - they are cheap and simple to make in the field, and are too weak to be useful as part of houses. This means that they are not stolen like stronger items would be.

They are also just shorter than the axles of a bullock cart so they last longer.

Corner posts made the same way.

The yellow posts show where mines where found. This is the remains of a bunker which had several mines laid in it.

More yellow sticks showing where mines were found. Concentrated mine belts like this are common, but so are occasional individual mines in otherwise uncontaminated areas.

Compressors are familier everywhere in Cambodia - they could be used for demining tools to provide power.
