Mechatronics ProjectsThe
project work is core to this unit, allowing student to experience and demonstrate real design issues.
Working in teams on projects prepares you for
professional work in any engineering discipline. Within the project,
students need
to gain and demonstrate that they have attained and applied new
knowledge,
not just applied existing knowledge. These are large & complex projects, which often span several years,
although
some smaller projects are also offered. The idea is to focus on
a good engineering contribution, thorough design and documentation of the overall system.
A list of the projects
offered in 2009 are shown below. Details of each of these projects can be found on the Mecharonics Wiki page. This year, projects span 5 schools, offering a wide range of interdisciplinary problems to be solved.
